About

Utterances is the one-man extreme metal project of Declan Larsen, fusing punishing slam, frostbitten black metal and savage death metal.

Born in Australia, Declan has also lived in the UK and the US, and is now based in the United Arab Emirates.

The album is a conceptual journey inspired by a haunting canvas painting by his mother, Shan Lamplough, which also serves as the album artwork. Its story unfolds through intense imagery, a bleak atmosphere and primal survival.
